Q. Do
you sponsor?
A. Any time a company sponsors a skater it is a marketing decision, as
in “we are going to spend money on this but we will get something
in return”. So the real question is what do you have to offer a
company that may be willing to spend money on you? Can you promote the
company, and help them grow and get stuff in return. Or do you just want
free stuff? So ask yourself that question and send a video to video@piranhaskate.com
if you really want to be part of a team.
Q. Do you spray paint, stencil your decks?
A. Well we don’t use a roller. Most modern decks are sprayed. So
are cars. It is the preferred painting method. Our decks are prepped,
degreased, sprayed, screen printed, and sealed.
Q. Where are your decks made?
A. All decks are printed, and shipped from Mayville Michigan.
Q. Who are you?
A. We are a company started by old school skaters that were tired of the
major skate companies taking advantage of young skaters with their high
prices, and sponsor packages that offer little more than a discount on
an overpriced item. We offer pro quality products at a low price.
Q. Can I get X brand trucks, wheels with my deck?
A. Our line is limited to our brand at the moment. If you want something
special just get a deck, and see your local skate shop for the trucks
and wheels.
Q. Are your decks 7 layer Canadian Maple?
A. As much as I hate to break an industry myth there is no such tree as
Canadian Maple. The wood used in most skateboards is Sugar Maple also
known as Acer saccharum. It grows in the Great lakes region of USA and
Canada. So the answer is yes.
